Selvan Pillay

Selvan Pillay is the Director of research at Adrenergy Research Innovations, where he leads various biomedical research studies. He is an academic, an entrepreneur, and a community-minded individual whose current titles include; Director at INHERIT Foundation, Director at Tesla Institute, Director at South African Open Business Institute and Owner of Saints Media Software Development. His previous experiences include positions as Senior Lecturer and Head of Education Resource Development at the University of KwaZulu Natal, the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine and the School of Undergraduate Medical Education. Other previous positions include Programme Manager on studies such as; KZN HIV ADreSS, REVAMP and OASIS. He has extensive qualifications and experience in medical physiology, higher education and research. He has been recognised for his active contributions to the community by numerous awards from several community organisations, in which he contributes by way of sponsorship, mentorship, training and as an office bearer.
