Writing Workshop

The iHEART-SA project is part of the Heart, Lung, and Blood Co-morbiditieS Implementation Models in People Living with HIV (HLB- SIMPLe) global alliance. Capacity building is an important objective of the HLB – SIMPLe programme. Therefore, various capacity building and strengthening activities have been planned throughout the life cycle of the programme. The Grant Writing Workshop was the first of these activities to be implemented. Attendees completed 3 half-day workshops, comprised of several sessions/presentations designed to give insight into, and helpful tips for, the grant writing process. Participants were able to hear from various research practitioners and were provided real examples of different grant applications. The workshop had 75+ attendees from the African nations participating in the alliance: Botswana, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, and Zambia.
